31 & Change (2010-Present) Owner/Designer

Exploring a passion meant taking a hiatus from advertising and pursuing a more dusty, imaginative side. Launching my own custom made, hand-crafted furniture company was a lesson in ownership, hard work and freedom. I created not only the furniture, but also the brand: marketing materials, logos, sales, PR and e-commerce. I’ve been represented in stores in Austin and NYC and have built pieces for individuals and businesses like Gap, WeWork and the Renaissance Hotel.

Digitas (2018-2022) VP/CD

Don’t let the digital name full you - Digitas is a fully connected agency activating campaigns and content across all platforms and mediums. I co-ran North America’s largest account (Whirlpool) and I’ve led multiple accounts (Maytag, Mizkan, Bertolli, Amoco, Delta Dental) and multiple teams to drive growth, new business development, and sustained success.

• Led a series of 360 campaigns for new product launches, brand acts/experiences and pure branding initiatives for Whirlpool brand.
• Led the digital relaunch of Amoco Gas stations in the US by digging deep into nostalgia while creating relevant modern content for today’s scrolling feed.
• Victoriously won creative duties for a Save-A-Lot (a discount grocer) during a media pitch. Launched a new brand campaign that was executed across social platforms.
• Led, ideated and launched an integrated (print, social, digital, OLV/TV) multi-year campaign for Delta Dental’s 50 member companies.

Freelance Creative (2016-2017) Creative Director/Art Director

Stepping in when called upon delivering ideation, collaboration and leadership. I’ve run projects from day one, taken them over for completion or simply been a resourceful team member. Produced work for Meow Mix, J.M. Smucker, Purell, Aldi, International Trucks and Kimberly Clark.

The Escape Pod (2014-2016) Creative Director

Smaller clients usually have smaller budgets and with that requires a bold upstart agency who isn’t afraid to push the limits of creativity and push the limits of clients’ safety zones. As creative director for TEP, I lead a department of 10, created, managed and executed strategic ideas that empowered our clients through all channels.

• We turned an unknown lawnmower (EGO) into the fastest growing brand in the US. Doubling sales in every product category.
• We evolved Can-Am Spyder from a Viagra like brand to a more little burnt rubber, leather and grit motorcycle enthusiasts yearn for.

Blackboard Co. (2013-2014) Creative Director

An independently fierce shop with impeccable creative chops driven by passion and storytelling. We took our small clients and gave them a big megaphone by creating some unforgettable work.

• Co-managed a small team building the New Mexico tourism account into the agencies largest integrated account.
• Expanded Tillamook Dairy’s national footprint by overseeing the launch of new products, new designs and translating those into print, digital and television.

Freelance Creative/BBDO (2010-2013) ACD/Art Director

Going on a contract basis (both long term and short) meant experiencing the very best and the very worst of agencies, but it also meant working on a vast amount of clients. I was a proud team member on everything from food to phones to beer & liquor to cable to tourism and had stints at Deutsch, TBWA/Chiat/Day, 360i, BBDO, Goodby Silverstein + Partners, Havas, McGarry Bowen, Saatchi & Saatchi.

• While my year long stint at BBDO I managed the NY State account (D2C and B2B account). I helped relaunch the classic “I heart NY” through a multi medium 360 approach.
• Helped win the Bacardi business for GS+P.

Wieden + Kennedy (2007-2010) Art Director

Stick & Move (2005-2007) Art Director

A start up with impeccable roots and bold ambitions Stick & Move set out to make it big. A former mentor and partner from Crispin Porter + Bogusky launched the Philadelphia agency with me as employee #1 and the challenge, risk and entrepreneurship rang throughout. We experienced the highs and lows of building a company from scratch but in two years went from 4 to 16 employees.

• Helped win and produce efforts for the following clients: Hydrapak, Yakima, Jersey Shore, adidas, Trader Joe’s, Toyota, TakeCare Health and TradeKing.
• Roles included - art director, print producer, jr. account executive, secretary, photographer, illustrator, producer, lighting specialist, assistant director, retoucher, bear, puppet, model and handyman.

Crispin Porter Bogusky (2004) Freelance Art Director

It was an experience unlike any other working for the agency of the decade. The amount of talent, creativity and foresight CP+B had was a creative lesson worth the long hours and sleepless nights.

• Produced brand work for Virgin Atlantic.
• Created a nontraditional dealership piece for BMW Mini Cooper.
